Alright Guys this is my very first note . So if anything written against any person or institute i apologize for the same.
Well my topic for my first note is Indian Media Boon or Curse for Our Nation.
Well this topic seems to be very old & its always been on high note from time to time. But why this topic all of a sudden.
Well being into broadcast field i travel the whole globe so i keep a tab of whats going on in my country. So for this i regularly visit few of the websites where i can watch Live news. Even there are software available where in i can view news & other channels all around the globe. But one thing which i have noticed about Media Specially our news channel is that why do we show things which at times are not necessary. Below given are few example which makes a feeling that Indian Media is Boon for terrorist & Curse for India as a country.
1) The most important & the most black marked even in Indian history 26/11. Now something which helped us a lot & also the terrorist. The news which was broadcast ed to us was keeping us updated about the location but one flaw which was a boon for terrorist was that what ever activity our commandos did which was aired on the television was been tracked by the handlers & were constantly been updated to the terrorist . This helped the terrorist to escape & also helped them to change their locations.
2) Second most important event which will be hosted by India 2010 Commonwealth games Delhi. In one of the channels they showed about the security level which will play the major role during this event . Now what was the need to show what kind of security will be placed during that event. The common man has no idea what so ever what kind of equipment will be used , how it is used . The channel showed everything which will be very helpful for terrorist.
During Beijing 2008 did we knew anything about what kind of security level they have formed & what all they will use NO.
3) As the days were coming close i.e 1 year on after 26/11 Media showed what all our govt & defense people have done to tackle against terrorist. They showed everything what all we have bought, where they have been used ,how they have been used & surprisingly they showed a live demo, which was not all required.
My point is this, being some what literate in computers i can view news of the whole globe on touch of a button. I can see news from any part of the world . The way media is demonstrating the news of activities of the govt & defense it will really help the terrorist to plan out things & also target & get well prepared from what we have prepared to counter them.
There are many things which media needs attention & need to show the world . I haven't seen any country showing off their strategies & arms the way we are doing.
So this what i think that being hit listed by our neighbor country we need to maintain the level of information which needs to be broadcast ed which will be only helpful to us as a nation & not for those who target us.
